TAJA policy

Community Guidelines

What we expect of clients and professionals, and what gets an account removed.

Applies to the TAJA app (com.taja.client) and to taja.co.ke.
Governed by the laws of Kenya. Questions: info@taja.co.ke

1

The spirit

TAJA brings Professionals into Clients' homes and Clients into Professionals' studios. That only works on respect, honesty and safety. These guidelines apply equally to everyone and form part of our Terms of Service; breaking them can lead to restriction or removal.

2

Respect and non-discrimination

No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, sexual advances, intimidation or threats — in person, in messages, or in reviews. Treat every person with dignity regardless of who they are. Clear evidence of such conduct can be grounds for immediate removal and, where serious, a report to the authorities.

3

Safety, especially for home services

Professionals: attend as the person on your profile, on time, suitably equipped, licensed where required, and keep your live location on during the booking. Clients: give an accurate address, stay reachable on your booking number, and provide a safe, lawful and appropriate space. Personal-care services carry inherent risks; either party may end a session that feels unsafe, should leave if necessary, and should contact support and the authorities in an emergency.

4

Keep everything on TAJA

Soliciting or making payment outside the app strips away every protection — verified payments, receipts, refunds and dispute support — and is grounds for removal. The listed price is the full price; Professionals must not demand extra for the booked service, and Clients must not pressure Professionals to go off-platform.

5

Honesty in profiles and reviews

Portfolios must show your own genuine work. Reviews must reflect real experiences from real bookings. Fake reviews, review trading, paid reviews, or pressuring someone over a review will result in content removal and account sanctions.

6

Reliability

Cancel as early as you can if plans change. Professionals who repeatedly cancel late or fail to show lose visibility and may be removed; Clients who repeatedly no-show may lose booking privileges.

7

Privacy of others

Addresses, phone numbers and live locations are shared only to complete a booking. Do not record, keep, share or use the other party's personal details for anything else. Doing so is a serious breach.

8

Reporting and enforcement

You can report any profile, review or message, and block any person, from inside the app. A block is immediate: the person can no longer book you, message you or see your live location, and a blocked Professional no longer appears when you browse. You can also report problems to info@taja.co.ke with your booking reference. Our team reviews reports every day, and removes objectionable content, and the account responsible, within a day of it being reported. Depending on severity we may warn, restrict, or permanently remove accounts. Fraud, threats and safety risks lead straight to removal, and we cooperate with law-enforcement and regulatory authorities where required. Our enforcement decisions are made at our reasonable discretion to protect the community.
